About Us
We are two Donnas that God brought together in 2001.
We both have Master's Degrees in Education and taught in public school
in our 20s. Now, we are both stay at home moms who dedicate our
days to raising our children and trying hard to follow Jesus. Both of
us like to garden, read (although very different books), and be
creative!
We met at a Methodist Church in North Carolina and
immediately knew we had found a friend that was on a similar page in the
book of life. Now we spend a lot of our time volunteering as
helpers, coordinators, and encourages at
church, at our children's school and in the community.
We are not perfect and we don’t live perfect lives.
Between us, in our families, we have dealt with many life trials ~
alcoholism, cancer, divorce, heart disease, job loss, miscarriages, elderly parent
care, chronic childhood illness, obesity, anxiety, and depression to
name a part of everyday reality. Throughout it all we have
struggled just like everyone else, but our hope and faith lays with
Christ.
In addition, we are not Bible Scholars, but we have
gotten past the intimidation that sometimes happens when reading and
studying the Bible. If we are faced with a question we aren't
confident in answering through our own study, we have many resources and
amazing mentors, who have been blessed with knowledge and discernment,
to go to for guidance.
At the end of the day we are 2 Donna's looking toward
Jesus as our guide in life, letting Him lead us where He wants us to go.
